Galerie 36 exists as a nexus of Pan-African artistic and cultural expression, showcasing the breadth of creativity across the African continent and throughout the global African diaspora. Inspired by the intellectual and community-building spirit of the Nadal sisters of Martinique—whose gatherings bridged anglophone and francophone worlds, influencing movements like the Harlem Renaissance and Négritude—we aim to create a space where art, ideas, and conversations converge to reimagine the meaning of African identity, unity, and uniqueness in the contemporary moment.
