Galerie 36 champions artists of African origin and descent, serving as a hub for Pan-African creativity and dialogue.
Based in Dakar, Senegal, and drawing on the legacy of the Nardal sisters of Martinique—whose gatherings bridged anglophone and francophone worlds, inspiring movements like the Harlem Renaissance and Négritude— Galerie36 unites art, ideas, and communities to illuminate contemporary African identity, unity, and uniqueness.
Through exhibitions, events, and cross-cultural collaborations, we showcase the breadth of African creativity from the continent and throughout the global diaspora. We aim to spark meaningful conversations and shape a future that honors the richness and diversity of the global African Diasporic experience.
Opening Summer 2025.
